As an alternative to a traditional movie approach ‘Spirit of the Game’ will break entirely new ground by it being created as a beautifully-crafted, digitally-based, interactive motion comic. The following provides a beta-level early prototype of this alternative concept…
Although there are pros and cons to this approach, this motion comic approach will enable us to keep the production budget to a far more modest level, while keeping to the same storyline.
Sponsorship and endorsements: Because of the extremely positive and inspirational message in this film's storyline, we believe that there's a HUGE potential for corporate sponsorship and endorsements to be attracted to this project. Indeed, this could well be a significant contributor to the final production budget! Product placement is an obvious possibility - especially with corporate messaging and advertising being possible on the stadium banner boards that will appear all around the game action in the USA aspect of the storytelling. These need not be static advertising banners but have motion too, as they do in most top-level soccer stadiums today. With the motion comic version being primarily viewable on digitally driven computers, tablets and mobile phones all around the world, this advertising can be specifically targeted to individuals and regional markets too!
